Film would date from 1966 - Del Monte was formed in 1916.
Interesting video, with some nice shots of cannery lines with strange flat-bladed fans, Alaska Packers Association pier in San Francisco, and cannery floor activity.

Not much in the process of canning, but a fascinating collection of snippets of olf films made by the Calpak corperation to document it's growth. I was somewhat caught of guard, as I thought this film was just going to talk about the old film, and not talk about it's modern day operations. But soon I realized that was the whole INTENTION of this film, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mind you, it DOES have some modern day footage, but it's a fascinating comparison between the footage. Reccomended!
